Cynthia Bomben

Originally from Chicago, Cynthia Bomben has been working in international education in Italy for the past 17 years serving in various Student Services and Student Affairs roles for Cornell University's Rome Program and at John Cabot University. Most recently, she was the Associate Dean of Students at Loyola University Chicago's John Felice Rome Center for six years. Cynthia holds an MA in English from Loyola University Chicago.

Jesuit educated, she strives to infuse Ignatian values into her life and work in serving international communities.  She brings extensive experience supporting students throughout their time abroad in Rome. She has designed meaningful community service and immersion programs promoting social justice and reflection about the marginalized in Italy and how to become a person with and for others in a global context. She has a deep love for Rome and enjoys helping visitors discover the lesser known secrets of the Eternal City.

She is honored to be a supportive element of the JRS International Office team as the Administrative and Executive Assistant and bear witness to the transformative humanitarian work being done throughout the world that is signature to the JRS: accompanying, serving and advocating for the marginalized.
