Asia Pacific, when home is not a safe place
Increasingly, many people are being displaced to urban centres, like Bangkok, Thailand where they often struggle to integrate into the sprawling city. They do not know the language, cannot legally work and lack legal protection. Jesuit Refugee Service Asia Pacific team members surveyed tourists and JRS staff in Bangkok about where they feel safe and how their experience compares to that of the approximately 8,000 refugees seeking safety in Bangkok right now.
